Content | GROW!T Perlite is a versatile and inert soil amendment and soilless medium. Use it to aerate soil in container gardening, for germination and propagation of seedlings, for propagation of cuttings, and as a hydroponic medium. Hydrofarm searched globally and went to great lengths to find a source of top-quality perlite, and succeeded-and what we found is offered in the GROW!T line of perlite products. Multiple grades available: #2 Perlite (1/16" - 5/8" granules), #3 Perlite (1/8" - 5/8" granules), #4 Perlite (1/3" - 3/4" granules), and #8 Perlite (3/4"-1 1/3" granules). | Use this block of organic coco coir planting mix to promote root growth for flowers, vegetables, herbs, and more. It works as both an indoor and outdoor planting mix and is ideal for hydroponics systems. Although each block of mix is equivalent to more than 2.5 cubic feet of soil when water is added, it is lightweight and easy to carry and store. Add the GROW!T mix into your growing system and notice the coco coir difference. | Plant Elevators are specially designed to help raise your fabric or plastic pot out of the bottom of a saucer. This elevates the pot out of potential excess water that gathers in the saucers. This can be crucial in preventing root rot, mold issues and helps extend the longevity of your fabric or plastic pot. 13’’ elevators are best for up to 7 gallon pots, 16’’ elevators are best for up to 15 gallon pots | Grodan Stonewool (rockwool) is made from molten rock spun into cotton candy-like fibers and then compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs. Where other rockwool brand manufacturers cut all sizes from one batch of wool, Grodan is unique by making different types of fibers. The purpose is to support the requirement of the plant in the different plant stages. Grodan has a tremendous capacity for absorbing nutrient solution while retaining plenty of oxygen for rapid plant growth. Grodan comes in graduated sizes. Seedlings started in cubes are easily transferred to blocks and then onto slabs, if desired. Seedlings or cuttings started in the Grodan cubes can also be transplanted into more traditional planters and growing mediums. Grodan Slabs - The final stage of planting with growing blocks are the Grodan slabs. These slabs come in clearly marked UV resistant poly sleeves for ease of use. Recommended for larger, long term crops with extensive roots like peppers, tomatoes, or cucumbers. Typically, seedlings in blocks are placed onto slabs. Grodan Expert is the slab that drains the fastest because of its vertical fibers. By far the most popular slab for the hydroponic hobbyist market. Grodan Master is a special wet/dry slab. The top layer is thicker, which stays wetter, while the bottom layer stays drier. In effect it defies gravity, allowing more even distribution of moisture throughout the slab. | Cocogro® has a very low salt content that is available in 3/4 in double-sieved long fibers to reduce dust and give ample space within the mix. It has excellent drainage properties and can be used over a longer period of time than coir fiber with shorter fibers. With longer fibers and reduced dust, growers will experience an optimal air to water ratio, which is vital for strong root development. Cocogro® is a superior coir fiber because it is aged a minimum of 18 months and has finished its decomposition stage. In addition, Cocogro® passes through at least three monsoon seasons, which naturally washes away harmful salts out of the final product. | A-OK Starter Plugs™ for starting seeds and rooting of cuttings prior to plugging into the larger Gro-Blocks. A-OK Starter Plugs™ come labeled with instructions in a shrink-wrapped sheet that fits a standard 10 x 20 tray (flat). | ||||||
